A Research People lookup can create a public-evidence read before the person has seen it. A provisional lookup is not a confirmed identity or a public achievement.

The sharing model we are building

A fuller model in which each person sees their read first and chooses what the organization can see is in progress. It is not the default today. We will explain the current permissions for your setup.
